Miami is the hot spot this weekend. So of course, the life of the party, Travis Kelce, had to show up. However, his new lady, Taylor Swift, was not by his side.
Swift recently released her new album, The Tortured Poets Department, on April 19. She will also resume her historic Eras Tour in a few weeks.
Travis Kelce’s Appearance at Formula 1 Was Business Related
Travis is known for popping out at the most popular events. He and his boo Taylor recently were spotted at Coachella, the famed music festival.
But PEOPLE notes that this appearance at Formula 1 could qualify as a business trip for the Kansas City Chiefs star.
“Kelce’s attendance at the Grand Prix is likely related to his recent investment in the Formula 1 team, Alpine Racing,” PEOPLE wrote.
“The NFL star and Patrick [Mahomes], 28, became the lead investors in an ownership group that secured a $218 million investment into Alpine Racing, Otro Capital announced in October.”
Chiefs Stars Sound Off on New Partnership
When speaking about the partnership, Kelce raved about the “extraordinary,” opportunity for him and Mahomes.
“We are embracing this opportunity to be a part of something extraordinary, and we look forward to contributing our passion and commitment to this incredible team,” Kelce said.
The Chiefs quarterback noted the qualities of “teamwork,” and “dedication,” are what sold him and Kelce on wanting to partner with the racing brand.
“As athletes, we understand the importance of teamwork, dedication, and the pursuit of excellence. We see these same qualities in Alpine Racing and are excited to be a part of their journey to further success,” Mahomes said.
Mahomes and Kelce are combining for scores off the field as much as they are on the field. Formula 1 is the second business venture that the two have been linked to. The Chiefs duo recently announced that they were opening a steakhouse in Kansas City. It is named 1587, a nod to their jersey numbers.
