TMZ reports that following the Kansas City Chiefs’ 23-14 victory over the Houston Texans on Saturday, Jan. 18, Kelce was asked if he felt like he was “25-year-old youngin’ again.” He replied that he felt more like he was “22,” referencing one of Swift’s biggest hit songs.
The media outlet further reported that Kelce’s eyes “lit up” when he commented, seemingly indicating that he had the reference ready.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift was spotted cheering on Travis Kelce from her usual suite during the game. TMZ reported that she even smiled and waved at some nearby Swifties. She enjoyed the game alongside her new friend, WNBA star Caitlin Clark.
Swift and Kelce went public with their romance in September 2023. She has appeared at several Kelce’s games, including Super Bowl LVIII.
While on The Pat McAfee Show, Kelce and McAfee chatted about Swift coming to his games.
“Hey, is she undefeated?” McAfee asked Kelce. “She rolls into that stadium, I just want to let you know what live bettors do. They see her walk into that stadium and immediately open the phone, like, ‘Yup, Chiefs are about to win.’ That is just literally the feel.”
Travis Kelce Previously Revealed that Taylor Swift Is ‘Encouraging’ Him to Continue Playing Football
During his recent appearance on The Stephen A. Smith Show, Travis Kelce stated that Taylor Swift has encouraged him to continue playing football despite retirement rumors.
“She’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game,” Kelce said about Swift. “She loves coming to Arrowhead [Stadium] and coming to the games and cheering for me, so I got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams.”
Kelce also acknowledged that the 2024 NFL season hasn’t been his best season.
“I love everything that I’m doing in this building,” he said. “But at the end of the day, I’m not having that extreme success on the field as I have individually, man. I’m excited for these next couple games to play at Arrowhead, to finish this season off.”
Kelce stated at the beginning of the 2024 season that retirement hadn’t crossed his mind.
“I think the excitement of the challenge of this year, being able to maybe do it a third time in a row, I think that alone was all I needed,” he told Rich Eisen in September. “That was an instant thought, so there was really not a chance in hell that I wasn’t coming back this year.”
