Travis Kelce’s mother has finally weighed in on Taylor Swift’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. Donna Kelce, 71, revealed she was something of a Swiftie herself, devouring the entire masterpiece upon its release in the early morning hours.

“I listened to the whole album. I listened to it all morning long when it was released,” Kelce told People. The woman who birthed the world’s most beloved brothers had nothing but praise for TTPD.
“I was just very impressed,” Donna gushed. “She is a very talented woman, and I think it is probably her best work,” she declared.
When asked if the grandmother had any advice for Taylor as she quickly approaches middle age, Donna demurred. “She doesn’t need my advice on anything. In fact, I hope she will give me advice,” she admitted.
Donna Kelce Never Weighed in on Specific Songs From Taylor Swift’s New Effort, Even Ones About Travis
Sadly, Donna didn’t get into which tracks were her favorites. One could hazard a guess it might be awkward for Donna to listen to the lyrics Taylor Swift launched at exes as well as Travis Kelce.
Swift appears to sing about her relationship with Kelce in her song “The Alchemy.” The track alludes to winning streaks, trophies, and touchdowns.
Fans also speculated that she referenced the Super Bowl Champion in “So High School.”
In the song, Taylor sings about a newfound love feeling “so high school.” She seems to reference a past interview where Travis was asked to choose between marrying, kissing, or killing her, Ariana Grande, and Katy Perry.
During that interview, Travis infamously chose his future girlfriend for a kiss. Meanwhile, he happily picked Katy Perry to be his wife.
“Are you gonna marry, kiss, or kill me (Kill me) / It’s just a game, but really (Really) / I’m bettin’ on all three for us two (All three),” Swift croons at one point. We here at Suggest sincerely hope Taylor means Travis will kill her with love and this isn’t some sort of cry for help.
Of course, Swift also appeared to reference her exes, Matty Healy and Joe Alwyn, in other songs. However, the tracks purportedly about them were not as complimentary. Perhaps Donna Kelce took the tracks dragging Healy and Alwyn as a dark harbinger of things to come for her son.
Throughout the 2023-24 NFL season, Donna and Swift developed a close bond, enthusiastically supporting Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs together at several games.
