Twitch streamer ExtraEmily has come under fire after carelessly handling a gun on a livestream. During a Monday stream, she was with fellow Twitch personality Mizkif, when he pointed out a “glock” he had in a case next to a stack of stuffed animals.

“Does that not scream Texas to you?” he commented with a laugh.
ExtraEmily, whose real name is Emily Xuechun Zhang, picked up the case and took out the gun. She then mimed shooting, turning in a circle. When she pretended to fire at Miz, he freaked out, exclaiming, “Emily! F—ing God!”

Emily played it off with a laugh, but Mizkif showed actual concern about the potential for the gun to go off.
“Do you really trust me to make sure the gun is properly put away?” he asked. “There could be an extra bullet in there!”
ExtraEmily Faced Backlash From Viewers About Gun Safety
“I’m not putting my hand on the trigger!” she said. “I’m not that stupid… I think.”
The clip quickly went viral, with many commenters criticizing ExtraEmily and advocating gun safety.
“Idc this should be a month ban,” one said. “Gun safety isn’t something to joke around with.”
“Always act as a gun is loaded and can go off at any time. It’s not a hard concept,” wrote another.
ExtraEmily hasn’t addressed the incident much. She offered up a “sorry my bad” after learning that the gun could have gone off even if her finger wasn’t on the trigger.
