A little more than six months after YouTube star Twomad unexpectedly died at the age of 23, the cause of his death has been revealed.
Twomad, whose real name is Muudea Sedik, died in early Feb. 2024. His body was discovered days later after the Los Angeles Police Department performed a welfare check on him after he was uncommunicative for several days. Drug paraphernalia was discovered at the scene.
At the time, law enforcement officials told TMZ that they were looking into the death as a possible overdose.
According to TMZ, Twomad’s official cause of death was an accidental morphine overdose. The media outlet obtained The County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s report which confirmed the YouTuber died from morphine toxicity.
The report further revealed that Mitragynine, which is another drug that is commonly used to treat opioid withdrawal, also contributed to Twomad’s death.
The media outlet also reported that Twomad tweeted several concerning images in the days leading up to his death.
Twomad had more than two million subscribers on YouTube and 425,000 on Instagram. He was known for his “trolling” styles, which included him “invading” online college classes on Zoom during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fellow YouTuber Jameskii Called Out Twomad Shortly After His Death Was Announced
Not long after Twomad’s death was announced, fellow YouTuber James Kii unleashed and called him out.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), James Kii accused Twomad of attempting to murder him and other crimes. He called Twomad a rapist and pedophile.
“Over the past few years, he tried to murder me multiple times for helping the police [and] detectives in multiple states to investigate a lot of horrible things he’s done,” Kii explained. He wanted to take out multiple innocent lives by getting behind a wheel and going head on on freeway while being high on illegal drugs. He didn’t succeed once as he overdosed before killing anybody, so he tried it again.”
Kii then wrote, “Despite him trying to murder me and multiple innocent lives I’ve been trying to help law enforcement to make sure he’s safe, doesn’t get hurt and doesn’t harm anybody. Please remember that he’s a rapist and a pedophile. He continued to prey on the vulnerable even after the police got involved, including a 13 y/o in mental hospital. The tragedy doesn’t excuse any of his actions.”
Twomad had been previously accused of sexual assault by a Twitter user. He denied the charge.
